Due to the continued success of our Transport Planning teams we are looking to recruit a modelling specialist to work from one of our regional offices (Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, London or Reading). We would welcome applicants at Consultant, Senior and Principal level.
Opportunity on offer
Our ideal candidate will have an appropriate academic (degree qualified in a relevant discipline), and/or professional qualifications (chartered membership, or demonstrable progress towards achieving qualification of a relevant institution). They must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in using Vissim for a consultant level position with more extensive experience required for Senior and Principal positions. Experience in Paramics and/or Aimsun would be desirable.
They will also have:
- Experience in using software such as LinSig and TRANSYT
- Proficient IT skills
- Ability to analyse and interpolate data
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Excellent communication skills – both written and oral organisational skills
The following would be desirable:
- TPP qualified, or in the process of seeking qualification.
- Experience in the use of transport simulation models such as SATURN, EMME, VISUM
- Experience in the use of software such as TRICS, Tempro,
- Appreciation of current modelling guidance
- Capability in Excel and, ideally, VBA
- Capability in GIS software such as MapInfo and QGIS
- Experience of producing modelling outputs to be used in the production of TAG compliant business cases, and inputting to business case production as appropriate
