We are looking for an enthusiastic Quality Assurance Manager to join our growing team.

PJA is a leading independent transport, engineering and placemaking specialists with offices in Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, London, Manchester, Reading, Perth and Melbourne.

We provide expert advice on a wide range of projects across the UK and beyond from new settlements and nationally strategic infrastructure projects, through to urban regeneration schemes and a wide range of education, employment and sports and leisure developments.

We are now looking for a Quality Assurance Manager.

We will be considering both part-time and full-time applicants for this role, so please note your preference in hours (between 24 and 40 hours per week) on your application.

The role

The quality of the services we provide is paramount to our customers, and therefore our systems have been developed to support our team in providing that high level of service. This role is required to help us administer, implement and improve the system; and to support our technical teams with guidance and training as they use the systems to deliver their work.

 

Our ideal candidate

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

  • Ownership of the QA policy and procedure and ensuring its implementation
  • Implementing audits
  • Reviewing documents to ensure they effectively support the business
  • Reviewing other company policies to ensure they are fit for purpose
  • Supporting wider team members when required using the QA policy

Skills and Experience

  • Experience or awareness of overseeing CDM requirements
  • Experience in technical drawing management
  • Presentation skills
  • Awareness of compliance to ISO 9000
  • Computer literature with proven experience in MS Office systems
  • Proven track record of implementing QA programmes in consultancy business (or other office-based context)

The applicant should be able to demonstrate that they have:

  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
  • Proven administration skills
  • Fluent in English; both verbally and written
  • A high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to develop strong, professional relationships with colleagues
  • Excellent telephone manner
