Joel Cowling
Joel joined PJA in January 2026 as part of the water team. He graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Physical Geography and Oceanography from Bangor University. His degree covered a wide range of disciplines and studies including; monitoring sea level rise in The Menai Strait, mine drainage in Cornwall and mapping historic ice movement in Eryri.
His dissertation focused on Liverpool Bay and aimed to determine the balance of wave and tidally driven impacts within the area. The study also modelled and predicted sedimentary bedforms found in the bay.
