PJA helps to achieve planning approval for 300 homes in Stowmarket, Suffolk.
We were commissioned by St Philips Land Ltd to provide transport advice and reporting for a residential development of up to 300 homes over 32 acres of land at Ashes Farm in Newton Road, Stowmarket.
Our team prepared a Transport Assessment and Travel Plan, the scope of which was agreed through discussions with National Highways and Suffolk County Council (SCC).
We undertook a thorough modelling exercise which identified a local junction where mitigation would be required. Through discussions with SCC, we agreed a package of mitigation measures to enable the delivery of the site.
Post-application, we liaised with SCC and officers at Babergh and Mid-Suffolk District Councils to provide additional evidence relating to sustainable transport connections to the site and to demonstrate that the proposals have been robustly assessed.
We then attended the planning committee where a unanimous resolution to grant outline planning permission was achieved.
