PJA attain Technical Approval of a Section 278 detailed design scheme from National Highways in Evesham, Worcestershire.

The off-site junction mitigation scheme is associated with a Bloor Homes residential development, and includes the realignment of kerbs on all arms of the roundabout and the provision of two ahead entry and exit movements on the A46 arms.

The improvement to the junction will alleviate congestion during peak periods caused by the insufficient capacity of the existing junction when the proposed developments in the area are considered. The Bloor Homes residential scheme also includes improved footways and uncontrolled pedestrian crossings, linking into existing pedestrian facilities nearby.
