PJA was commissioned by St Modwen Developments to undertake monitoring visits to assess the environmental condition of the ground during the construction phase of this site.

On completion a warranted Land Quality Statement was produced by PJA to accompany the sale of the site.  Following a desktop review of available data, the site was identified as open fields since earliest available mapping. Geotechnical and Geo-environmental ground investigation works were designed based on the desktop review to determine the ground conditions for a proposed commercial unit and associated infrastructure at the site.

This irregular-shaped parcel of land is conveniently situated adjacent to a network of roads connecting the site to Burton-upon-Trent town centre approximately 7km to the south west of the site and Barton-under-Needwood approximately 1.6km to the east of the site.

This site forms part of the wider Barton Business Park, and a commercial unit occupied by a car component manufacturer lies adjacent to the south of the site.
