This project involved the PJA team assessing the impact on the existing network around Wembley Stadium.

The base VISSIM model served as a platform to test various proposed layouts which included a multi-storey car park and various coach park arrangements. The modelling was focused on a typical match day which included temporary diversion measures.

The internal layout of the coach parking proposals were modelled in detail to assess the vehicle interaction and clearance times. The control of traffic exiting these coach parks, as guided by marshals on site, was also modelled.

The key outputs from the project were 3D models and Exit Profiles to understand the time taken for all traffic to leave the network for the various proposals.
