In the hugely successful 12 months the Perth office has been open for business, the team has nearly trebled, but what made those newbies want to join a UK based company relatively new to the west coast of Australia?

We asked Richard Spencer, Rodney Ding and Sonja Hayes to give us an insight in to why they joined PJA and what it was like when they got there:

“Our main draw to joining PJA was the duo Tim and Tanya who are fearlessly successful in their fields, holding a reputation as not only the finest in their work but balancing it with an understanding of real life and family values.

“Beyond that was PJA’s reputation as a leading placemaking-led transport and engineering consultancy, offering the opportunity to grow and thrive in a new place. As a team we are eager to continue the PJA mantra ‘create better places through great design’ and our approach to work aligns well with PJA’s core values of creative, credible, committed, and considerate. We have the ability to do big things with PJA and what they say speaks to us.

“The projects we are working on are really interesting and knowing the potential outcome that may result from our investigation is motivating. All this whilst having the support of the wider PJA team of over 130 people with experience in a variety of services and sectors makes for a great offering to our clients and partners.

“We’re also encouraged to build on our individual growth and knowledge. Road safety (Road Danger Reduction) is a focused service area, and being supported to undertake training and continual professional development is something that also sets PJA apart for us.

“The team here are motivated to see the company expand organically and succeed further in making PJA a go-to trusted advisor in Perth, and we are so excited to be a part of the PJA story.”
