This new solar farm in Clacton, Essex will be capable of offsetting approximately 4,102 tonnes of CO2 each year, the equivalent to taking around 1,000 cars off the road every 12 months.

The application for the 22.5mw energy plant to meet the annual electricity needs of approximately 4,720 homes was brought forward by LDA Design on behalf of Bluefield Renewable Developments Ltd.

PJA worked closely with the design team to resolve access challenges to the site, informed by early engagement discussions with the local highway authority which resulted in a positive recommendation from the highway authority once the planning application was submitted.
