This new solar farm near Clyst Hydon in East Devon will be capable of delivering clean, locally sourced energy to nearly 15,000 homes.

The application for the 49mw energy plant on more than 170 acres of farm land was brought forward by LDA Design on behalf of Lightrock Power.

PJA worked with LDA Design, who acted as planning consultants, to support the planning application through detailed assessment of access options and routing for oversized, bespoke delivery vehicles to and from the site.

Our inputs extended to inform the internal arrangement of the site for construction traffic access and the preparation of supporting documentation for the planning application.

Planning permission was granted in July 2022.
