PJA have recently supported Bloor Homes in the submission of a full planning application for a residential development on land at Station Road, Newport.
The development includes 301 homes and 70 extra care apartments. PJA worked closely with Telford and Wrekin Borough Council, as local highway authority, to agree assessment parameters, access arrangements and agree a package of improvements to the local highway network.
A sustainable mitigation package was agreed including contributions to improving local bus services, and provision of a new puffin crossing and footway on Station Road.
PJA produced the Transport Assessment and Travel Plan for the scheme, along with highway design works for both of the vehicular access points.
PJA are proud to be part of the cross-discipline team that helped to secure a resolution to grant at planning committee in January 2022.
