Sonja has more than 15 years of experience in the traffic and transport industry. She began her career in New Zealand with a focus on road safety before relocating to Australia in 2012. Since then, she has gained experience across local government as well as both small and large consultancies, delivering traffic and transport assessments for projects ranging from individual developments to large-scale structure plans and subdivisions.

With a diverse skill set, Sonja has extensive experience delivering transport assessments for private sector projects of varying scale and has also played a key role in the development of state policies and guidelines for public sector stakeholders. She is particularly passionate about road safety and improving accessibility within local neighbourhoods, with the aim of enhancing travel experiences for all users across all modes of transport. Her cross-sector experience provides valuable insight that supports practical, high-quality development outcomes.
