We are pleased to have provided transport input into the successful outline application for residential and community development at Wheatpieces, Tewkesbury.

The application for up to 250 homes, along with a community sports pavilion and outdoor sports pitches, was approved in May 2023.

PJA was appointed by Bloor Homes following the previous successful application for office development on site.

Our team prepared a Transport Assessment and Travel Plan to accompany the application, and ensured the scheme satisfied the local highway authority, Gloucestershire County Council, and National Highways, through pre and post submission engagement. This included a detailed modelling exercise to assess the impact across the local and strategic highway network.

The development, accessed from Bluebell Road, will provide open and affordable market homes, alongside new community sports and leisure facilities, becoming the new home for Tewkesbury Town Colts FC.
