Tell us what you do at PJA

I am part of the Engineering team in Reading as an Engineer. I provide support in creating drawing packages for different types of projects, varying from S278 works, public realm, junction improvements.

What’s your career path so far?

I started my engineering career when I took a placement year during my Civil Engineering degree course. I enjoyed it so much that I went back to work during summer breaks and even after I graduated, while applying for a graduate job as an Assistant Engineer. I’m still in my early career with only few years of experience – I am currently an Engineer and working towards the next grade.

What do you enjoy when you’re not working?

I enjoy travelling to new places. I also enjoy playing badminton with my friends for fun and going on walks.

Are you a dog or cat person?

I’m not really an animal person so neither… but if I HAVE to pick between the two, I would pick dogs over cats!

What are you currently reading or listening to?

I wish I was more of a bookworm; it’s been a while since I’ve picked up a book! I’m more of a Netflix binge-watcher type instead.

Claim to fame?

When I was primary school, I wrote a poem which was then chosen to be an entry of Michael Rosen’s book of poems.
